Every year, in Portugal, about 100 hectares of forest are burned . Ended season the Portuguese forest fires are forgotten.
To break this cycle, AMI develops reforestation actions in the whole national territory, using more fire-resistant native species.
This initiative allows to rehabilitate unoccupied, burned or degraded land, located through out the country, in partnership with forestry associations and city councils and the funding and involvement of businesses and citizens by planting indigenous trees.
Thanks to Ecoética, 108 370 m2 of forest land have already been intervened based in Loures, Melgaço, Celorico da Beira e Valongo
